Fruit. Strange fruit, bitter fruit, Juicyfruit. Fruit of the Loom, Fruit of our loins, Froot Loops, fruitcakes, fruitflies. Be fruitful and multiply. Ripe, unripe, peeled or rotten, fruit is part of our lives. And it’s time we talked about it.



If you have a story that is in any way, shape, or form connected to our January theme, “Fruit” (read it any way you want), then come on down to LIVE BAIT and tell it. Or just come and watch others share theirs. All you have to do is sign up at the door and if we pick your name out of our hat, come up and tell your story. It’s that easy. No notes, no rants, just tell your story like you’re telling your friends over a couple of drinks. There is a five-six minute time limit, please respect it.



Everyone is encouraged, performers and non-performers alike. Don’t miss this Rhode Island Monthly Best of RI winner for “Best Storytelling for Grown-ups,” Providence Phoenix Best of 2009 Editors’ Pick for “Best Excuse to Yammer On and On” and Motif Magazine Theatre Award winner for “Best Audience Participation Show.”
